Dr. Geagan is originally from Montpelier, Vermont. She obtained a B.S. in Biology from Fordham University in 1987 and her Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. She moved to the Capital District upon graduation and joined a mixed practice to continue her interests in small animal medicine, surgery, and dairy production medicine. After thirteen years here, Dr. Geagan relocated to Madison, WI and spent 3 years working at a 24-hour small animal emergency clinic, before returning back to the capital region. Though she misses emergency medicine she prefers serving clients and patients consistently over the course of their lifetimes and values those relationships highly. She lives with her family, including two recent Niskayuna High graduates, two dogs, and two cats. When not at work, she can be found bicycling, camping and kayaking with her family.
